- PETA visited the US wool industry, where a sheep had her neck repeatedly twisted and bent, and broken by a shearer. A PETA investigator found her dead, after the shearer had kicked her head-first down a chute. The shearer has done similar but cruel acts on dozens of sheep's necks and forelimbs, as well as poking his fingers into sheep's eyes.
- At the meat department of Whole Foods, you may see signs with claims like "enriched environment" and "treated humanely" written on them. But what a PETA investigator has seen during his undercover at Pennsylvania-based turkey farms tied to Whole Foods, is telling something completely different from the claims. There, in the filthy, crowded sheds, thousands of turkeys were seen being caught by workers and slammed into metal coops on trucks that send them to slaughter. Every night in these farms, dozens of turkeys were kicked, beaten and stomped by workers, regardless if they are "just fine", sick, injured, weak, or just too lame to stand up. Other turkeys were brutally picked up by their neck or wings and thrown around, while some were even hurled at each other like it was a game. Dead and dying turkeys have also been found. Is this supposed to be "humane"? Then you be the judge.
- The story begins in an underground boxing match where we are introduced to two of our main characters, a fierce boxer and his manager. Despite his capacity for violence, the boxer is a slave to his corrupt manager, Rookie. With the help of the mysterious Elsa, the two elude Rookie and make a run for it. As the chase ensues, the plot splits into a dual narrative. While the boxer and Elsa run for their lives, Rookie struggles through a surreal and nightmarish experience of self-discovery.
- A PETA eyewitness who worked undercover inside Mahard Egg Farm in Oklahoma found a debilitated hen in a filthy pit, amid rotting remains of other chickens, and without water. This hen was left to die, because the worker who was told about it by the PETA eyewitness said that she'd be dead soon, and walked away.
- Investigators from PETA have been visiting dealers that sell animals to pet stores, and witnessed animal cruelty. Now they've seen it again. This time, PETA went into Reptiles by Mack, a reptile mill that bred and sold frogs, lizards, turtles and other animals to different pet stores across the US, including PetSmart. There, animals were confined to filthy, crowded plastic bins stacked into shelving units, deprived of water and other natural needs for days or weeks, and denied veterinary care if sick or injured. Animals trying to escape were caught in glue traps. Many animals were neglected and left to die, some were even cruelly killed by getting gassed or frozen.
- PETA had reports about so-called "rescue" and "sanctuary" operations that claimed to "save" animals from euthanasia, but instead neglected them. Sometimes animals were neglected to death. Over and over, PETA have been documenting such cruelty and neglect in sham rescues like Caboodle Ranch and Angel's Gate. In Darlynn's Darlins Rescue Ranch, Inc., located in Polk City, Florida, pigs didn't get anything to eat for up to five days at a time, unless they got rotten scraps of produce and moldy bread. Animals who were sick, injured and dying didn't get any veterinary care. Malnourished dogs were kept confined to kennels outdoors, without getting any water to drink as temperature approached 100 degrees. And the list could go on.
